On 28th October, 1948, the current Israeli flag was accepted by the Speaker of the Provisional COuncil of State.

The flag consists of a white flag with two blue stripes; one at the top and one at the bottom. These blue stripes separate up the white to make up three white stripes. One the central white stripe is a blue star, which is the star of David.
