The Argentinian National Flag consists of 3 horizontal strips, 2 blue bands either side of a white strip which has the 'Sun of May' at it's centre.
The Flag was first used by the Argentinians 4 years prior to it's declaration of independence from Spain in 1816, without the 'Sun of May' which was added 2 years later in 1818.
