Consisting of 2 horizontal red and black bands, representing the blood shed by the Angolans during the colonial oppression and the the African Continent respectively.
In the centre of the flag there is a symbol comprizing of a part of a cog wheel representing the industrial production, a machete representing the agricultural struggle of the peasants, and a star representing Internationl Solidarity. All of which combine to symbolize the wealth of the country.
