| Notes: |
The Dominican Republics national flag is made up of 4 quarters, blue (hoist side top), red (hoist side bottom), red (fly side top) and finally blue (fly side bottom). All of which is super imposed by a white cross covering where the quarters meet. At it's centre is the Dominican Republics Coat of Arms.
The blue signifies Liberty and Freedom whilst the red symbolizes the blood spilt in the fight for independance with the white cross reminding the nation of the sacrifices made.
The colours used are taken from the Haitian flag and it was adopted on November 6th 1844.
