Also known as Dannebrog (old Danish for 'The Danish Cloth'), the Danish National flag consists of a white Scandinavian cross on a red background.
According to Danish legend, during the Battle of Lyndanisse (aka Battle of Vlademar) on June 15th 1219, the flag fell from the sky at a critical moment which turned the battle and resulted in a Danish win.
