The Burundi National Flag has a diagonal white cross, with the top and bottom sections being red and hoist and fly side sections being green. In it's centre is a white disc containing 3 six pointed red stars edged edged with green.
The 3 stars represent the Hutu, Tutsi and the Twa ethnic groups of the country, the red symbolizing the bloody struggle of their ancestors and the green represents the hope of the nation, while the white is for peace.
