Country: Saudi Arabia Abbreviation: KSA
Notes:

The Saudi Arabian flag was adopted on March 15, 1973. The sword on the flag was added well before then in 1906, and there also have being slight changes since; the latest one was in 1973.

The green in Saudi Arabian flag is a traditional Islamic colour which also is linked to the prophet Mohammad who found Islam. The white text represents the Shahada. Shahada is the Muslim statement of faith. The translation of which in English is "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah". The sword is the symbol of justice and it also represents Abdul Aziz ibn Saud the first king of Saudi Arabia.
