Notes:

The Malaysian Flag, also known as the Jalur Gemiland ("Stripes of Glory") contains 14 alternate red and white stripes.

It has a blue canton within it a cresecent moon and a 14-point star known as the Bintang Persekutuan. These 14-points suggest equal status in the partnership of the 13 member states and the government; while the 14 points of the star represent the unity between these states.

The cresecent moon represents Islam, the country's most dominant religion. The yellow of the star and crescent are the royal colours of the Malay rulers; the red on the stripes represents death for those that helped gain independence. While the white standing for the people and economy of Malaysia. Red and white are also popular colours in Southern Asia.
